Who We Are
Live Matana is a veteran owned non-profit organization founded in 2021. As people of faith, we struggled with how we had been instructed to give by those in the church and the faith community. After many passionate conversations and talks with those we trust the most, we decided to let God lead the way and show us what he wanted.
As time passed, we were lead by the idea behind 'matana', a Hebrew word for gift. More specifically, this term means giving purely to meet the needs of another without any expectation, repayment, gratitude or otherwise. This concept struck our hearts and we knew this was the path to take. Live Matana went from a concept to a movement we wished to create.
We are all made in the image of God and commanded to live righteously and love one another. We hope to do exactly that through the work of our organization.
